The Power of I am

I am. How many times a day to you start a thought with those three letters?

Since I started tuning into what I was telling myself about myself, my life changed. Today when thoughts like, “I am behind”, “I am too busy” or “I am not going to meet my goal” come up, I stop and THINK about what I am saying. Many times if I reframe the thought to “I am right on schedule”, “I am on track to get exactly what needs to be done, done today” and “I am a magnet for miracles with ease and grace” life get really easy, really fast. I put myself at ease, and allow my mind to work on productive conversations and not ones that hold me back.
I encourage you to start listening to what you are telling yourself. Recently, someone said “most of us wouldn’t talk to our best friends the way we talk to ourselves”. Listen. Learn. Reframe your “I am” and see what happens.

Knock their socks off!

Want to really wow someone? I don’t care how big or small you company is, it’s essential that you do this one thing like your life depends on it; write personal notes. Not an email, not a typed letter…. a handwritten personal note. And if you can do it within 24 hours of meeting someone, or talking on the phone - you’ll make a powerful impression in a world drunk on email and text messages.

This is undoubtedly one of the most powerful business building activities I’ve ever done. Try it. You’ll be amazed at the results.
