And the fleece was flying!

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

Whew! We made it. The fleece was flying last week as we sent Love, Gratitude and Joy all over the country and the world. As I sit at my desk today and reflect on all that has happened this year, I want to give you an insiders peek at some of the things we are creating for 2007:

1. WRAP EVERYONE YOU LOVE in 2007! Jump onto our website, find your favorite wraps, and sign up for a Gift Reminder any time of the year! We are so excited to bring you this new feature. Let us send you a reminder via email for all your gift giving in 2007. Birthday’s, Anniversaries, and Just Because Days. (from our store, click your favorite wrap. A new window with “Gift Reminder” in the lower corner will appear)
2. New Wraps! The brainstorming sessions are in full swing. In late 2007 we intend to introduce new themes to our family of wraps. (more…)

Thanks for sharing.

There is so much going on right now at our office! We are deep in the heart of Christmas orders. That’s on top of all the normal pre-holiday craziness.
I’d like to take a moment to send a long overdue thank you to a couple of the women who have helped make this holiday season such a success:

Mimi Doe, Founder of SpiritualParenting.com wrote: “I’ve written for years that our words are our wands and create our reality. Finally I’ve discovered a product that is all about wrapping yourself in positive words.”

Kristie T’s Home Business Blog of WebMomz.com wrote: “I came across a really cool product called Affirmawraps that actually let’s you wrap yourself in affirmations. It’s an affirmation blanket. I got one in the mail. It’s wonderfully soft and warm fleece wrap that’s definitely become the favorite blankets at my house.”

Lisa McLeod who created ForgetPerfect.com wrote: “If T-shirts aren’t your style, you can literally wrap yourself in positive words imprinted on cozy fleece blankets from www.affirmagy.com. I’m convinced that if I go to sleep underneath a purple blanket featuring an affirmation on abundance, I’ll wake up with more money.”

Our sincerest thanks to these women, and all of you who are helping us spread the power of affirmations around the world!

A vision for 2007

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

For the first three quarters of the year, my friend Janet and I have Vision Days where we reflect on the past 90 days, and set goals for the next 90 days. This is one of my favorite Success Habits. What do we do the 4th quarter? We create goals, intentions and a vision for the coming year. This is a day I look forward to for weeks, if not a whole month. I LOVE dreaming - or ‘going global’ as I like to call it - about what’s possible for my life. The best way to start this process is to ask myself “What would I do if I knew I could not fail?”.

Once I decide what I want in all areas of my life - Spiritual, Friends and Family, Personal, Career and Finance - what’s left is to ATTRACT IT.

And that’s where the real fun is! Michael Losier, author of Law of Attraction is a master at teaching people how to attract their heart’s desire. I am delighted to tell you about Michael’s books and CD’s simply because I know what he teaches is true and powerful and working in my life right now.
So, what’s up for you in 2007? What wonderfully fabulous things will you decide you want? Michael’s work is a powerful way to get there.

Just remember… THINK BIG!

Positive Messages Blanket the Nation

Craig Harris at the Post Intelligencer chose to showcase Affirmagy in the front page of the Business section of today’s paper. And the response has been overwhelming (two of our retail partners have placed orders today to keep up with demand). Today we are grateful that more and more people are learning about the power of affirmations. Thank you Craig.

For the whole story visit http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/295301_retail09.html

And thank you Nancy Juetten for your tireless efforts in making this happen. Because of you families sponsored by a Seattle area church will be wrapped in Love this Christmas.

Whatever it takes

Last Sunday my sweetie and I were house hunting. These days my trusty laptop is with me at every turn, so when we stopped at Tully’s to jump online (free wireless!) to look at the online classifieds, I couldn’t help but check my email.

Meg, the co-owner of Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes was in need of wraps for her entire team for a Monday morning company retreat. We played email and phone tag all day and then finally at 8pm that night we connected. Here’s how it worked out:

Kristen,
Thank you again for taking time on Sunday to play “tag” w/us so we could get your wonderful wraps for our company retreat! They were the perfect addition to our event. We started the day w/yoga and then I had everyone stretch out on their wraps for a deep relaxation. Spontaneously, everyone layed w/feet in, heads out, forming a beautiful circle of peace, relaxation and trust. It was amazing and so perfectly punctuated by the words on the wraps that held us all in our circle, bathing us in good intentions!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I look forward to gathering and sharing many more affirmawraps and the stories that go along!
Peace to you,
Meg Haggerty

More from The Secret

How does someone transform their life? Check out this interview Kate Yandoh - a contributor to Motto magazine - did with David Schirmer from the internationally known DVD The Secret.

As Kate writes “12 years ago, David Schirmer was a broke farmer living on oatmeal in a remote corner of Australia. Today, celebrities and CEOs are watching him on DVD to find out how to create wealth, he owns 20 companies, and he recently made a million dollars in eight hours. What happened? Here’s a hint: it’s all in your head. In this podcast, David explains exactly how he and his wife Lorna went from poverty to prosperity, and how they’re helping tens of thousands of people do the same. It may just be the most valuable 26 minutes you’ve ever spent.”

Upon watching The Secret, I bought 12 copies and sent them to people I love. Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, Kate’s interview is worth your time.

Mahalo. Grazie. Arigato.

Last week was my birthday. And I LOVE this time of year. It’s when I grant myself a lot of time give thanks for the amazing things that have happened, and the remarkable people that I have met along the way. This is when I start dreaming about the coming year and what I will create in my life.

I have found that being thankful….having gratitude… is one of the most powerful things I do to attract more of what I desire. And I have found that the simple act of saying thank you opens doors in all areas of life.

Jennifer Runner has created a website with how to say “thank you” in over 450 languages. Learning a couple of ways to say thank you is a fun way to stay in gratitude all day. Enjoy.

Redefining worthwhile.

I will never forget seeing the founders of “Life is Good” on the cover of Worthwhile magazine! It was a double whammy day - I discovered a great new magazine and I got inspired by others following their dreams in business. If I dug deep enough, I bet I could find that issue…..

Anyway, Worthwhile magazine is now Motto: Work with Passion, Purpose and Profit. This is one of those “geez, I wish I had done that!” moments. The articles, the resources…. I’ll write more about these super cool people later. Today I invite you to explore for yourself and see people doing really great things in action. These guys are pros.

Honoring a Life

Friday, December 1st, 2006

This email came on a Friday afternoon, during a week when I was questioning how well things were coming along with Affirmagy (things never seem to be moving fast enough for me). Erin’s note stopped me cold. It reminded me how lucky I am to be a part of a company that touches people’s lives. Erin and Jill have touched mine forever. - K
Kristen-

I wanted to drop you a note of thanks for creating such beautiful blankets. Last week, I received the STRENGTH and COURAGE blankets and I gave them as gifts to two friends of mine that are sisters. They had arrived just in time for both to be placed on Jill’s hospice bed where she was fighting breast cancer. As they stopped by, her friends read the statements on the blankets because they seemed to give testament to who she was and how she lived. Those words were the things that cancer could not take from her. When she died earlier this week, her sister removed them and slept with them for comfort.

I’m sure in a business such as yours you are given inspiration at every turn, but I wanted you to know that your products made a powerful impact on me and my friends.

Many thanks,

Erin
