All in Good Time

This post was originally written February 1st. Enjoy.

I am not sure where this comes from, but I am one of those people who likes the tempo of life moving at a fairly fast clip. My sense of urgency regarding things for which I feel passionate can resemble the Tasmanian Devil.

So you can imagine when things are not moving fast, fast, fast, I can get a little, well, grumpy. And for about the last week, that’s exactly what I have been. Being grumpy takes energy - so much that last night I gave up and went to bed about an hour early, and I slept in a half hour past my usual time. Boy, I needed it!

Thank goodness I took the time because something in me has profoundly shifted as a result. Laying in bed this morning, half awake, there were four words running through my head: “Everything in good time”. Huh? What? Who said that?

The good news is after I fully awoke, I listened. And then I got into action. First I got a big fat felt marker and wrote “Trust the timing of the Universe” on my bathroom mirror. Then I went to work I gave myself permission be in high level, creative activities all day. Every time I thought “You should be handling these details. You need to get this done. You’ll never get what you want unless you tackle all this NOW” I simply thought…. “Everything in good time. Trust the timing of the Universe.”

Know what? It works! Not only do I feel 110% more relaxed, but by days end we had several incredible new business opportunities literally pop into my inbox. And the amazing thing is that one of them came as a result of efforts put forth over a year ago. Nothing I could have done today would have made that opportunity come any faster. Go figure. The Universe does have perfect timing.

Life is good.
