About Kristen
Kristen Marie Schuerlein (say Shur-line) knows first hand that we design our lives with thoughts, words and actions. She is the founder of Affirmagy, a company that has created a family of fleece blankets silk screened with positive affirmations. By wrapping people in the power of words like Love, Courage, Joy and Abundance, their blankets are sweet reminders that life is good!
At 32 Kristen was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease and found herself profoundly fatigued, depressed and unable to fully function. During a 7 month recovery (her doctor told her she¹d be stricken at least a year) Kristen refused to think or say she was s-i-c-k. Harnessing the power of the mind to manifest thoughts, she managed to orchestrate the renovation of a small apartment building, effectively serve as President of a non-profit Board of Directors, and continue to run the design company she had started age 26. While Kristen focused hard on healing herself and honoring life’s commitments, her company missed its revenue goals and took on debt equaling about one-third annual sales.
With focus, passion and the use of affirmations to direct the body and mind, Kristen came roaring back. Within 2 years of going into remission, she grew annual revenues by 300%, retired all company and personal debt and became a six-figure professional. She also began quietly building Affirmagy and the following year she chose to step back from the design company. Aptly positioned to launch on the day of love, Valentine¹s Day 2005, Affirmagy introduced Affirmawraps, fleece blankets that wrap a person in powerful words of encouragement and love. A fourth generation entrepreneur, Schuerlein inspires people to design a life they love by uncovering their heart¹s desire.
Kristen has now committed herself to the possibility of 1,000,000 people worldwide wrapping themselves and their loved ones in the affirmations that grace Affirmagy’s family of wraps. Her vision is a world where people harness the power of “I am” and live a life they truly love.
